If music be the food of love, play on;
Give me excess of it, that, surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken, and so die.
That strain again! it had a dying fall:
O, it came o'er my ear like the sweet sound,
That breathes upon a bank of violets,
Stealing and giving odour! Enough; no more:
'Tis not so sweet now as it was before.
O spirit of love! how quick and fresh art thou,
That, notwithstanding thy capacity
Receiveth as the sea, nought enters there,
Of what validity and pitch soe'er,
But falls into abatement and low price,
Even in a minute: so full of shapes is fancy
That it alone is high fantastical.
DUKE ORSINO
From Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, 1602
Even though this Chicago Spring has been lackluster, and really just down and out crappy weather-wise, the season of love is upon us.
So get out there, mingle, and enjoy life.
I'm personally fond of dancing, and completed a swing class over at Big City Swing. I have taken a few dance classes, and can say with some experience that this one was one of the best. Knowledgeable instructors(Jenna), good time of the day for working folk(7:30 on a Wednesday), and good fun.
I decided to take the class partially for personal fulfillment, but I'm excited that it also will help me work with any couples out there who are interested in dance instruction as part of their wedding plans.
I've also gained a deeper appreciation for different sub-genres of "swing" and will be exploring this a little deeper in my free-time.
Let me know if you're interested in any specialty styles of dance for your event, we'll be happy to help you out.
Thanks,
~Josh~
