I had a strange experience the other day observing a few working musicians.
One woman was busking at one end of the train stop, and a group of people were singing on the other end.
I walked down to the other end and was followed by the woman. She kicked the open guitar case of the singing group, then proceeded to verbally assault them. She thought that she should be playing in that space, not them.
Whether right or wrong, this was unbelievably poor behavior on her part. Musicians should strive to help each other, and strive for a sense of mutually beneficial congeniality.
Here at CMAS, we are mostly known for DJ'd music, but we love working with live musicians. If you decide to hire a live musician for your ceremony or cocktail hour, we can provide a sound system and/or appropriate amplification and mic'ing for their performance time.
We actually have many contacts with live musicians whom we've worked with before, and would be happy to give you a referral to a musician or group who will make your wedding reception memorable!
